Reports from the Vatican says Pope Francis on Friday , March 27, sent money from Italian church offerings to families in the north-east part of Nigeria affected by the Boko Haram menace.

The Vatican press office said the money was a "tangible sign of solidarity" that the Pope does not "forget their suffering".
